GAAP Update
Speakers:
Dara Bazzano – Dara is a partner in KPMG’s San Francisco Audit practice and has been with the firm for 9 years and a partner since 2006. She has more than 19 years of experience serving both public and private US and multi-national clients in all aspects of assurance. In addition to her financial reporting expertise, she has had extensive experience in capital raising including capital debt, mergers and acquisitions, and filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She has just completed a two year rotation in the West Area with the firm’s Department of Professional Practice (DPP) in New York. Areas of expertise are SEC filing matters, revenue recognition, debt and equity accounting, restructuring and impairment matters and business combinations. Dara advises a variety of clients, primarily in the consumer products and manufacturing environment and technology industries.
Angella Eckert – Angella has worked on audit and management consulting engagements in a variety of industries, including forest products, financial services, technology, governmental, manufacturing, not-for-profit organizations and retail. Prior to joining the KPMG Boise office, Angella worked for two years in public accounting in Bermuda specializing in the investment banking and financial services industry. Angella has provided professional audit services to several large companies in accordance with PCAOB requirements and U.S. GAAP. Her audit experience includes SEC filings, carve-out financial statements, and pension plans audits.
Kurt Williams – Kurt Williams is a Manager in the Forensic Practice of KPMG based in the Boise office. He has over nine years of experience in providing accounting, audit and investigative services to clients in manufacturing, computer hardware, computer software, health care and financial services. He has conducted numerous investigations primarily around earnings management, revenue recognition and accounting reserve issues including several cross-border investigations.
